The 20” Big Blue 5 Micron High Flow Pleated Sediment Filter provides the first phase of filtration, like a pre-wash, straining out larger sedimentary particles 5 micron and larger such as dirt, sand, rust, clay and metals. The pleats increase the surface area of the filter giving it longer life, and lower the pressure drop allowing faster flow rates. Straining out sediment is a key step in water filtration, since it negatively impacts your equipment and the color and taste of your water. 

The AquaWash™ Backwashing System with 4-Blend Mixed Bed Media & Activated Carbon with AquaMetix® plus KDF and Zeolite is the Second Phase of our AquaComplete Combo System is formulated with a Special Selection of Premium High-Quality Medias Known to Remove and Reduce a Multitude of Contaminants. AquaWash has a Mixed Bed Media that uses 3 primary types of Carbon; AquaMetix®, a premium grade Coconut Shell, a Proprietary Catalytic Carbon with Scavenger Media plus KDF –with Canpro MediaGaurd System and Zeolite, designed to reduce and/or remove the widest array of contaminants typically found in municipally treated or rural well water supplies, including chlorine, chloramines, fluoride, heavy metals, hydrogen sulfide, micro sediment, trihalomethanes, halo acetic acids, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from herbicides, pesticides, and solvents, at the entry point of your home.

Water flows through the AquaWash™ like water flowing through a rocky riverbed of specially chosen granular medias. Different contaminants bind better with different medias. That’s why our AquaWash™ system is built with multiple medias including carbon, using only the finest assorted medias in the world, to reduce and remove the widest range of possible contaminants. 

AquaWash™ is a backwashing filtration system, which means it self-cleans the filtration medias by pumping water backwards through the filters. The added benefit of backwashing resets the media bed eliminating channeling (the formation of water flow creates channels through the media reducing effectiveness). Backwashing is the best way to reset the media bed and remove debris.

AquaWash® plus KDF includes KDF 55 with the Canpro MediaGaurd System. This high purity granulated compound is designed to remove or reduce chlorine and water-soluble heavy metals. It also controls scale, bacteria, and algae in any water temperature. (KDF is Optional)

KDF provides additional filtration for the reduction of heavy metals such as:

The Stainless Steel AquaRound™ MR700 SS (M700 (MR500 SS00) Filtration with AquaMetix is the third phase which provides an additional and final stage of filtering using 7 20” AquaMetix Carbon Block Filters (MR 7.0) and 5 in the (MR 5.0) filter cartridges removing the most challenging contaminants by slowing the water through the purification media and providing the perfect finishing system.
